Edwin Fernando Rojas Mejía

Fernando Rojas has more than eighteen years of experience in the telecommunications sector. Since 2010, he has worked on the Production Productivity and Management Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations (ECLAC) as a specialist in public policy for the development of telecommunications infrastructure and digital economy.
Since 2011, he is the coordinator of the Regional Broadband Observatory (ORBA) of ECLAC, a space designed to help the countries of the region to follow and develop public policies to universalize the broad band. In addition, he is part of the technical secretariat of the eLAC process, a regional political dialogue platform on ICT implemented in 2005. Previously, he was Director of Economic Regulation of the Telecommunications Superintendence of Bolivia.
Bachelor of Economics, with a Masters in Management and Public Policies, and another Master’s Degree in Business Finance, as well as a Postgraduate Degree in Management of Competition Promotion Policies and Consumer Protection in the Telecommunications Sector.
