Technology and Internet Lawyer
Carolina Rossini is a technology and internet lawyer and policy expert with over 18 years of experience, having worked in various countries. She is a Global Connectivity Policy Manager at Facebook and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. Before joining Facebook, Carolina was the Vice President for International Policy and strategy at Public Knowledge, a non-profit that promotes freedom of expression, an open Internet, and access to affordable communications tools and creative works. A self-starter, she also founded and led the Open Educational Resources Project Brazil, changing practices and law in Brazil, and resulting on open licensing and free distributed public funded educational resources. Originally from Brazil, she worked for Telefonica for 6 years, before becoming a law professor at Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) Law School. she is part of multiple boards of Think Thanks and non-profit initiatives, including InternetLab (Brazil) and #Iamcode (Africa). Her degrees include: JD from University of São Paulo, LL.M from Boston University (USA), and MBA from Instituto de Empresas (Spain), and a MA in International Economic Relations from UNICAMP (Brazil).
